Everybody in their world counts on them.

When it's their turn to need something, there's nobody.

Owners and operators. Founders. Law firm partners. Physicians who own their practice. Creatives at the top of their craft. And those who've built and exited, where the phone went quiet and they found out the company had been the whole social life.

What they have in common isn't a title or a revenue number. It's that there's nobody sitting in the same seat to call about it.

Ash & Oak is a room for owners and operators to actually know each other. What you're building, who you serve, and the part nobody asks about.

A happy hour once a month. Smaller coffee and cocktail gatherings in between, ten to twelve people at a time, in Middle Tennessee.

Most people we're talking to already have a version of this. A few friends, a standing night, and one evening where somebody almost said the real thing and then didn't.

The difference is the first two minutes.

Every gathering opens the same way, with the rules said out loud. Confidentiality first. What you say in that room doesn't follow you out of it. Then no pitching, no selling, no recruiting. First time you get a reminder. Second time you're out.

Nobody has to decide who goes first. That part is already handled.

An invitation is not a membership.

There's a founding board behind this, and every one of us sits in the same seat you do. Everybody coming on the ninth was invited by one of us, by name. Nobody bought a ticket.

And an invitation to the ninth still isn't an invitation to join. It's where you find out whether this is your room. Nobody's deciding anything about you that night. Some of the people there will become members. Not everyone will, and we'd rather say that now than let you assume otherwise.

Nobody's going to ask you to join anything that night. If you want to keep going after it, you'll have a way to say so.
