Ash & Oak

Ash & Oak

A private room in Middle Tennessee for people who don't get to have a bad day.

Founders. Owners. Operators. Law firm partners. Physicians who own the practice. Creatives at the top of their craft, along with the ones who built and exited.

Next happy hour, Wednesday, November 4. Invited? Your code opens the RSVP.

The room

You probably already have a group.

A Bible study, a book club, a men's group, a women's group, whatever.

Keep them.

But in every one of them, you're the one they call.

Which of those is a group of equals?

This one is.

It's the people sitting in the same seat as you, and the ones who've been there before.

We talk business.

What you're building, who you serve, what's working, what isn't.

Collaborations come out of it. Businesses will grow out of it.

We talk life.

The marriage, the kids, and you.

Everybody's counting on you to be fine.

In this room, you get to have a bad day.

How it works

A happy hour once a month, where all of us are in one room.

Everybody there was invited by a member, by name.

The first two brought about fifty businesses into the room.

Coffee and cocktails in between, across Williamson and Davidson County.

Ten people, hosted by one of the founding board.

That's where the relationships get built.

In most rooms, the third time you see the same faces is when you stop going.

Here, it's when they start asking better questions.

What you won't find is anybody working the room.

No pitching.

No selling.

No recruiting.

Nobody looking for a mark.

Once is a reminder. Twice, you're out.

Ash & Oak is an invite-only membership group.

The happy hour is how you find out if it's yours.

An invitation is not a membership.

Why we built this

You're everybody's emergency plan.

Nobody thinks to ask who you call.

A year from now, there are eight or ten people who know what you're building and how it's really going.

They ask the better question because they know you.

And when the bad day comes, you've got somebody to call.

That's the life the success was supposed to provide.

Tiny Irwin, Founder of Ash & Oak
